As a BARK Ambassador , volunteers and their dogs will walk the park’s dog-friendly trails as well as occasionally assisting in setting up Pop-Up Programs to educate pet owners on the principles of BARK , 7 Leave No Trace Principles and generally how to be a responsible pet owner in our national parks. Volunteers and their pet will receive training in the resource, Leave No Trace and Delaware Water Gap's pet policy. Once trained, volunteers will act as ambassadors to the park and speak with pet owners at popular locations such as the Cliff Park Trails, Kittatinny Point VC and the McDade Trail. Volunteers will help visitors and their pets to become BARK Rangers .

Volunteers and their dogs are expected to wear identifying clothing (DEWA Volunteer Uniform items) to indicate their volunteer status and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the activity they are performing.
