Take a stand against sexual violence and support survivors in Alaska through becoming a Volunteer Crisis Line Responder.
After completing the 40-hour online training, you'll be equipped with the tools to provide emotional and practical support and resources to victims of sexual assault and their loved ones.
A minimum requirement of 3 crisis line shifts per month are required for the first year of service as a volunteer crisis line responder.

The Mission of STAR is: To provide the best quality of crisis intervention and advocacy services to victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse, and to provide education on these issues to the community.
Description
STAR is dedicated to providing support to victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse, as well as enacting societal change through educational outreach. STAR advocates support victims from the initial police report through the conclusion of the legal process. STAR advocates also provide one-on-one support through groups and individual support plans. STAR educators present to community groups ranging from preschool to the elderly.
