The Center for Community Solutions (CCS) is dedicated to ending relationship and sexual violence. They are looking for a Volunteer Program Assistant, who will contribute significantly to educating the San Diego community on sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Other essential role tasks include:

  • Assist in developing a contact information database
  • Coordinate with existing volunteers to address their needs and ideas
  • Explore methods to increase connection in the volunteer team
  • Coordinate and organize volunteer documentation
As the Volunteer Program Assistant, you will gain experience in nonprofit administration and program management. Please note that this role will involve communication with the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), as hospitals are required by law to call the SDPD when issues of sexual assault and domestic violence arise.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • 1-year commitment of 6 hours per week.
  • Completion of a 66-Hour Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). Attendees gain trauma-informed information to serve those impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
