Summer Camp Programming: TEC
There’s no better summer volunteer opportunity for teens! Here’s an opportunity to have a lot of fun and work with your community in a state of the art technology center!
As a Tech Center Summer Junior Camp Counselor, you will play a critical role in creating an empowering environment for our participants. From assisting with setup to encouraging students to express their creativity through their projects, you will be a part of the team that assures our participants leave the center prepared and confident to explore new career opportunities that they would not otherwise have. In addition to assisting our participants, you will have the opportunity to work alongside mission driven individuals invested in elevating those helping us carry out our mission.

- Creative Lab/3D Printing
- Music lab
- Gaming Station
- Digital Production
- Gaming Center
- Outside Play
- Learning Lab
- Arts Station
- Cooking class
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
Work with SoLa I CAN team to assure daily programming is running smoothly
Familiarize yourself with the daily schedule and venue to guide participants
Encourage students to follow their schedule in a timely manner
Assist team with daily check in and check out procedures
Have an enthusiastic, team player attitude - no task is too small or too big
Assist with daily meal distribution and clean up
Assist camp instructors with their workshops at your designated station
Assure that COVID-19 safety protocols are being followed. Ex: participants wearing masks
Have fun, impact lives, and expand your network.
Experience
- NO TECH EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
- Ages 14 - 18 years
- Able to pass a background check
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Minimum one week of the Summer program Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm
- Deadline to apply May 30th, 2022
- Volunteer Orientation June 6th and 7th
