Wu Yee Children’s Services believes nothing is more essential than excellent child care and education for all our children, right from the start. Every day we partner with parents, as well as countless individuals and organizations across San Francisco, to provide a network that strengthens and connects a diverse, resilient community around our children.
Wu Yee engages in community events throughout the year to connect families to critical early childhood programs and services. We will be at monthly Pop-up Villages in the Bayview and Sunday Streets throughout the city, plus Chinatown, Potrero Hill, the Tenderloin, Visitacion Valley, Western Addition, and more. At each event, Wu Yee will have an outreach table that features activities for kids such as recycled art projects, sidewalk chalk, and hula hoops, along with resources for families.
Please sign up and help us recruit friends and colleagues to join us! Meet our committed staff members and learn about our work at Wu Yee, while developing deeper connection to and understanding of the diverse neighborhoods in San Francisco. Great activities for group volunteering, building team morale, community engagement, corporate social responsibility and making a positive impact.
Volunteers support staff by engaging with young kids with fun activities, e.g. arts and crafts, while staff talk to parents and caregivers about programs and resources. It can be hard to get parents' attention when they are with curious little learners! You can help us connect with families in need simply by entertaining the children and keeping them engaged so that staff can talk to the adults. No experience and prior knowledge of programs is necessary.
