ORGANIZATION: Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

The primary responsibility of the Budget for Baby(r) (B4B) Instructor is to present the B4B program to service members and their spouses seeking financial education in preparation for the arrival of a child.

Budget for Baby(r) workshops provide a focused venue for active duty and retired service members and spouses to get detailed information on the various expenses associated with the addition of a newborn to the family along with recommendations and resources to help ease the financial strains of a growing family.

Key Responsibility

  • Present NMCRS B4B workshop in a variety of settings (in person and/or virtual)

B4B Instructor Attributes

  • Demonstrate proficient public speaking skills
  • Ability to navigate a variety of video conferencing tools
  • Present a professional, friendly, and objective appearance
  • Maintain a nonjudgmental demeanor, objectivity, and confidentiality
  • Identify with the NMCRS mission to enhance financial self sufficiency
  • Serve as an NMCRS Ambassador

Time Commitment

  • 2-3 hours per workshop, including travel time to/from Naval Submarine Base New London
  • One workshop per month - Flexible to work with your schedule.
