In our "Mom and Kids" Newcomer Program, you can tutor face to face either an adult new immigrant or a newcomer student in English or academic subjects. You may also tutor a small group of up to 3 newcomers who have the same level in English.
We also offer online tutoring via zoom, 2 days a week, 1 hour lessons. You have to commit to tutoring the same immigrant student for at least 50 hours in order to make a change in an immigrant’s life. We will provide you with lessons, ongoing support, and training.

Description
NicerFL Welcome Centers, located in Pinellas Park, USF Tampa, and Sarasota, provide comprehensive integration support for refugees and other new immigrants through a network of welcoming centers. These centers serve as safe, inclusive spaces where refugees can access services, participate in programs, and connect with others. We offer a wide range of immigrant support services, including personalized intake and newcomer immigrant support planning, English language life skills and cultural integration classes at 4 language levels, family literacy projects, career coaching, referral services, resource mentoring, well-being projects, and newcomer youth academic services.
NicerFL volunteers work hard to make sure that every new neighbor is welcomed and connected to the larger Florida community where they live. We also help newcomers transition to a new life in Florida.
