ORGANIZATION: Professor MANGO's Education Recipes
Volunteers are needed to create a lesson plan to promote financial literacy through mathematics. This lesson plan must be written in the format of a recipe. The activity should include ingredients (things necessary for the activity) and a recipe (steps to put this activity together). This can be for any form of math, whether it is arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, or others. You can focus on any grade level.
Topics can include any of the following:

4. Credit Card Statements
5. Electricity Bills
6. Gas Bills
7. Gasoline
8. Groceries
9.Health Insurance
10. Home Insurance
11. Life Insurance
12. Identity Theft
13. Marriage Debt
14. Mortgages
15. Phone Bills
16. Scams
17. Student Loans

Professor MANGO's Education Recipes has four key areas of communication that it stresses on. They are (1) listening; (2) speaking; (3) reading; and (4) writing. This approach is used to benefit learning in all subjects. The MANGO acronym is like a recipe for cooking. Each letter represents an education theme, and different elements of each activity go together like ingredients of a recipe.
