At The Envisioneers, we strive to address and alleviate systemic inequities in public education. Our approach involves developing the academic and social-emotional abilities of our students through project-based learning and community mentorship. As a volunteer teacher with Envisioneers, you will have the opportunity to choose from over 50 course curriculums and teach a subject that you are passionate about. This 11-week commitment includes 10 weeks of 90-minute classes, culminating in a final presentation event (WOW) lasting for 2 hours. Envisioneers leverages an Expanded Learning Day model to re-imagine the way scholars learn. We foster and cultivate the academic and social emotional skills of our scholars while exposing them to career pathways through project-based learning and community mentors.
Envisioneers was a former division of Citizen Schools, a national organization with decades-long experience and a track record for developing a powerful Expanded Learning Time (ELT) Program. This team has a proven record of impact on student growth and school culture through delivering hands-on learning and volunteer mentors from the community.
