Facing cancer is hard. Having to travel out of town for treatment can make it even harder. Yet the American Cancer Society has a place where cancer patients and their caregivers can find help and hope when home is far away - an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge.

ACS' Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better. Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others in common spaces. Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease.

For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, we are welcoming individuals back to the Hope Lodge. These volunteers can expect duties like light housekeeping; laundry; activity calendar coordination; preparing meals; improving facility and grounds, gardening; coordinating and leading guest entertainment, games and activities (i.e. crafts); facility decorating for special occasions and holidays; and other activities and opportunities specific to volunteer interest.

Hope Lodge guests' health and safety are our top priority. We require that all volunteers and staff members be fully vaccinated and wear masks at all times on the premises until further notice.
