Creating videos for educational nonprofit doing videos with useful information about Covid vaccines

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The Daily Source

We are a team of high quality journalists, researchers, editors, web developers and creatives. We provide high quality information to make the world a better place in a variety of ways. All work is via the computer, so you can be anywhere. You can also do the work anytime of the day or night, and a choice of weekdays and/or weekends. This particular role is creating educational videos that provide useful information about the various Covid vaccines.

The videos will help: A) Governments around the world to be able to choose the best vaccines for their people. B) Individuals to pick the vaccine that is best for them out of the vaccines that their country or medical provider offer. C) Doctors and journalists to learn about the different vaccines. The videos will be provided for free on YouTube and other mediums as a public service. We are pro-vaccination, and are not anti-vaxxers.

We are going to do individual videos on each of the major vaccines, and also a video about all of them. Later we will also do a video that encourages people to get vaccinated and stay up to date on their Covid vaccinations in order to protect themselves, their loved ones and society's vulnerable. It will also talk about the benefits to society of keeping Covid under control via vaccinations including: a) less need for partial lockdowns when new variants emerge; b) less need for masking; c) less need for social distancing; d) less economic losses; e) less suffering and less deaths.

The videos will complement a few websites we are creating about Covid vaccines. Here is a link to the draft design of one of them. FYI: As our web designer builds a new site, he types in what's known as "dummy data," which is just random data so the pages aren't empty. Thus we can see how the design looks with content in it. We have already compiled a lot of the data in a file, and will add it to the site soon. So ignore the dummy data for now:

We are also going to do a monthly newsletter that contains the latest studies, medical journal articles and other new information related to the various vaccines. We have spent more than 200 hours researching almost all details of the vaccines, so we're saving government officials, doctors, reporters and individuals tons of time.

If you're interested in this role, please let us know which of these areas you're good at, and in which areas you'd like to work. In other words, you are not required to do all of these areas:

A) Do the editing of the videos, which will include video snippets, text, graphics and photos.
B) Create the text slides and the graphics
C) Research potential video snippets, quotes from health experts and photos.
D) Do verbal narration of some parts - also known as voice-overs

REQUIREMENTS:

Doing this work, you will gain experience through doing real work on videos. However, we aren't able to train you, so you need to be already able to do the things. The other requirements are:

- Be organized and pay attention to details

- Have a good quality memory so you can absorb information

- Be self-motivated to stay on track when working from home

- Proficient in English

- Have high standards for aesthetics, design and quality

We can give job references and endorsements to volunteers who do good quality work. You can also make videos you create part of your portfolio.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to bring the highest quality news from hundreds of sources across the Internet to the public in one place on a daily basis.

Description

We are a 21st-century news site bringing the public top quality stories, columns, editorials, photos, videos, audio, live chats and more. We are an IRS-approved 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization. Our site aims to be an important contributor in solving the problems facing our country and world by becoming the central resource on the Internet for intelligent, factual and accurate reporting. Whereas almost all publications rely on a small under-trained staff to produce a small number of stories of inconsistent quality, The DailySource chooses from all stories on the Internet. We present the public with high caliber information, news and analysis that has been chosen from over a thousand publications and is centralized in one site. The information people read is at the heart of improving the world. The site is designed to give the public the information they need to make solid decisions about what policies to support, to become more aware of key trends affecting the world, to find spiritual, recreational and cultural opportunities for themselves, to choose how to best spend their money, to learn about beneficial health news and more. The Internet is fast becoming the leading place for people to get their news. Come be on the cutting edge of it with us.
