Be Outdoors Arizona is creating a community of outdoor enthusiasts, wanna be outdoor enthusiasts, conservation, youth, environmental organizations, clubs and businesses to encourage and support outdoor activities. Too many people, especially kids, spend too much time on screens of some sort! School and work pressures and other stresses have seriously eroded confidence, security and well-being of so many people.

We provide the resources needed for anyone to explore the outdoors with confidence, to become involved with organizations, live purposeful lives, create life-long hobbies. We need help with grant writing. With more and more focus on mental health, the environment and the benefits of nature there are all sorts of funding available. I just need to help finding them!

Description

Be Outdoors Arizona is a collaboration of many organizations that are established to give people in Arizona a single place to discover and engage outdoor activities. In addition providing education on Arizona flora and fauna and resources for educators and parents.

The idea was inspired by the landmark publication of Richard Louv’s Last Child in the Woods and subsequent research findings that conclusively demonstrate the relationship between nature experiences and children’s health and well-being.
