An established NYC-based non-profit visual arts organization seeks a capable individual with experience designing and maintaining a website using Square Space. Artists Talk On Art,founded in 1974, features weekly artists, critics and curators in panel discussions and dialogues, delivered via Zoom worldwide.
Two main missions related to the website: first to maintain and update the content of the website with images and data coming from our programming director and other staff on a weekly and monthly basis, having to do primarily with content of upcoming programs. Second, to replace the current site design with a template and typography approved by the board the reflects the look of contemporary art museums and other similar non--profit arts organizations. You will be interacting and coordinating with other ATOA volunteers/interns who handle the social media posts. Involves weekly updates and periodic design tweaks .
Usefull Work skills ...experience utilizing templates for web design, familiar with common often used platforms and software such as Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress, etc. Other useful skills would include Adobe suite, MS Office and similar programs.
Enthusiasm about the visual arts is a plus!
Time and Place...both flexible ...estimated hours per week - 6 to 8 including time spent working on swapping existing design into new template.

Over 8,500 artists and other art world members have been presented and documented in more than 1,400 events in New York City. The Archive of American Art of the Smithsonian is the official depository of all past and future ATOA audio and visual materials.
