Choose any Sunday you like! Every Sunday (rain, snow, shine, or holiday!) from 10:00am to 1:00pm, outreach volunteers gather to offer health resources, food and water, basic needs items, clothing, and a judgement free space to feel love and supported.

Community Cleanup volunteers go out into the community, escorted by a specialized team of safety and security team leaders to clean up used needles and help make wellness checks on the unhoused. This is not for the squeamish!

During that time, we also:

  • Distribute bagged lunches, personal care kits, Narcan, and emergency warmline information
  • Direct people to Joseph/Langham for clothing needs

Important Notes - Cleanup Volunteers Must:

  1. Be willing to sign a liability waiver
  2. Be 16+ years of age and accompanied by an adult
  3. Be able to walk 3-4 miles on foot on uneven terrain and concrete
  4. Be able to squat and bend
  5. Be able to stay for the full shift (we are not able to break the group up)

For volunteers who are interested, we can provide Narcan training and provide free doses. RAW can also do cleanup by request; if you know of an area around town that needs needle clean-up, please let us know!

About RECOVERY ALL WAYS INC

Mission Statement

Recovery All Ways (RAW) is a 501(C)3 recovery-based nonprofit organization. It is our mission to support anyone affected by substance use disorder, mental health challenges, and/or homelessness.

Description

  • What makes Recovery All Ways (RAW) unique is that our founders and volunteers represent the community we serve. RAW's board and volunteers identify as a person in recovery, are seeking recovery, or have been impacted by substance use disorder (SUD) in their own family or friend group. Every Sunday from 10am to 1pm -- rain, snow, or shine -- our dedicated team of on-site outreach volunteers offers health resources, a hot meal, bagged lunches, hygiene kits, wound care kits, blankets, and seasonal clothing for folks facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and/or are homeless.

In addition, RAW offers case management services in the form of referrals, on-site health checkups with qualified health professionals, providing for basic needs, as well as transportation to and from appointments, and to check into the detox facility, when they are ready.

RAW also goes out into the community with a cleanup team to make wellness checks on those living in abandoned homes, to distribute bagged lunches, personal care kits, Narcan, 24/7/365 emergency warmline information, and to clean up used needles in "hot zones" -- public spaces, parks, parking lots, and abandoned properties.

We meet our neighbors where they are at; no shame, no judgment, and no requirements in order to receive our services. It is our goal to keep folks going until they are ready to seek recovery.
