ABOUT THE ROLE

Ambitious.Africa, a fast-emerging global non-profit driving sustainable impact across youth communities in Africa and the Nordics, is seeking a professional, reliable, enthusiastic and purpose-driven ambassador to join our growing organization. You will serve as the voice of our mission, build brand recognition, and proactively promote the growth of our programmes. In this role, you will be the focal contact person for Ambitious.Africa in your country. You will communicate and engage with youth in meaningful ways to increase our brand awareness and generate engagement. A motivated, energetic, creative, and organised individual will thrive best in this role.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspire, engage, support youth to create sustainable change
• Lead by example, represent the interests of Ambitious.Africa
• Organise onsite events / programs and engage the local youth
• Local representative for the online Ambitious.Africa platform
• Share knowledge about your country / cultures / local practices
• Utilise your local experience and network to work with grassroots organisations
• Increase awareness and visibility of Ambitious.Africa at events, on social media etc.
• Become experts and influencers of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in your country
• Work closely with our global and national teams to champion our mission and vision in your country
• Raise awareness about Ambitious.Africa through a variety of content (blogs, newsletter, photos, videos, audio etc.)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Passionate and self-motivated
• Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Resourceful, innovative, forward thinking and committed
• Passion for meeting new people and creating meaningful connections
• Availability to volunteer at least 5-10 hours a week
• Minimum 6-month commitment
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• Preferably a student at university, or having ties to local universities/colleges
