One-on-One ESL Tutor

Are you passionate about helping others? Would you like to make a difference in someone else's life?
We are looking for volunteers willing to work with our ESL students on a one-on-one environment.
We pair tutors with adult non-English speaking students who are wanting to improve their language skills.
Pairs will meet at the library for a 1-1.5-hour session, once or twice per week (each pair is encouraged to work out a time to meet that works best for their schedules). Learning materials are provided.

Description
The primary goal of the Weber County Library System is to provide access to a rich amalgamation of relevant information resources, programs, and services,
enabling users to make meaningful decisions in their lives and participate as fullfledged members of our democratic society. The Library’s secondary goal is to
serve as the social glue that binds people together in a sense of community; that is, to manage resources and programs so users will find civic cohesion and social
solidarity in something other than a common race, a common religion, or a common culture.
