Our Warming Hearts & Souls warming shelter is now in full swing at The Salvation Army Hospitality House, located at 1002 N. Main Ave.! We need your help in supporting our clients at the intake desk. (Both weekday and weekend volunteers are needed).
Shift Hours:
Monday through Sunday are:
8:00am-1:30pm OR 1:30pm-6:30 pm
*This includes a 30-minute meal break for volunteers who are able to enjoy a complimentary meal when volunteering with us.
- All volunteers will receive training a week prior to their start date.
- Volunteers may sign up for as many shifts as their availability allows; however, we kindly ask all volunteers to please commit to their role on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Consistency is vital for both our staff and our clients who depend on your help and look forward to seeing you each week!
- We are currently following CDC guidelines. (At a capacity of 102 beds, we are currently limiting space to only 75 clients at this time).

Description
The Salvation Army provides services to the Tucson community by way of temporary shelter, transitional housing, case management, job training, and GED Training. We hand out food boxes, water and clothing to those in need.
We also have youth programs such as day and summer camps and after school programs similar to Boy and Girl Scouts.
During the holidays, we provide meals for community members on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We also host the Christmas Angel Giving Tree and Adopt-a-Family program for those in need at Christmas.
