Now accepting applications to join our team at The Center for Workforce Development at William James College as an AmeriCorps member for a year of full-time volunteer service building capacity for projects that mobilize higher education to make a difference in the lives of individuals impacted by poverty.


The Center for Workforce Development (CWD) at William James College is seeking a Program Coordinator to engage in the following capacity-building efforts: 1. Design professional development activities that focus on careers in the behavioral health field for individuals from culturally-diverse backgrounds and develop social cultural and community events on workforce development. 2. Create marketing tools; design brochures, flyers, and newsletters; and develop social media sites to raise awareness about services and programs offered through the CWD. 3. Develop outreach efforts to recruit program participants and build partnerships with community-based agencies to raise awareness of the CWD's workforce development initiatives. 4. Design databases to collect, analyze, and disseminate data for program evaluation purposes, and participate in grant writing and fund-raising efforts. The biweekly living allowance for this position is $1,027.88. The AmeriCorps member serving at William James College will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year.
