Weber County Library is recruiting volunteers for the America Reads Summer Reading Program. Volunteers will work one-on-one with elementary school children as reading tutors at the library.
America Reads is a FREE 8-week tutoring program, offered to school aged children, designed to assist them with improving fluency and reading comprehension. Each student is paired with a reading tutor for 30 minutes at least once per week.
Tutoring opportunities are available at the Main Library (Ogden), Southwest Branch (Roy), Pleasant Valley Branch (Washington Terrace), and Ogden Valley Branch (Huntsville).
The program runs:
Monday-Thursday
10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
June 5 to July 28
Multiple shifts are available, but mandatory training is scheduled during May so call or email us now to sign up.
