ORGANIZATION: The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter
We need your help because after 2 years of a virtual bike ride fundraiser, I am beyond excited to announce we are currently planning Ride to Defeat ALS to be in-person this year!! (Covid allowing, of course. Safety is top priority and we will be following all state and local COVID-19 safety protocols in place at the time of the event).
2022 marks this event’s 23 rd year and has raised over 2 million dollars for ALS research and patient care! The ride will be June 11 th, 2022 at Morey’s Pier, Wildwood NJ. There will be 5 routes offered: 100-mile Century ride, 75-mile, 50-mile, 25-mile and a new family-friendly 6-mile route.
Therefore, we need your help to make this event a success and support The ALS Association in making milestones in the fight to end ALS. There are plenty of duties and ways to participate!!
Duties include:
Check in, set up, bike lock up, cheering section, rest stop support, photography, SAG team, and break down.

For more than 40 years, the Greater Philadelphia Chapter has worked to improve quality of life for people with ALS by supporting vital ALS research, providing care and services to patients and their families, and engaging in advocacy to secure policies that promote ways to better manage, and eventually end, this devastating disease.
The Greater Philadelphia Chapter serves more than 1,200 people each year and covers a broad service area that encompasses the eastern half of Pennsylvania, central and southern New Jersey, and all of Delaware. We are honored to be the principal charity of the Philadelphia Phillies. Through this special partnership, which began more than three decades ago, the Phillies have raised over $17.7 million in support of our efforts to strike out ALS.
