The G.O.A. T. Mental Health Expo is an event for young people, their caregivers, providers and anyone interested in helping the youth in our community. The focus is to learn more about effective ways of managing mental health and wellness through supports provided in Prince George's County.

Volunteers are needed during this event to assist with the following:

  • event setup (signage, banners, tents, etc.)
  • registering participants and attendees on the day of the event
  • directing participants to their assigned tables
  • acting as runners for staff, presenters and exhibitors as necessary
  • passing out information and swag items
  • assisting with participant traffic flow for the day
  • Assisting with the event breakdown

    Assist presenters and exhibitors as necessary. Assist with Q&A and breakdown of event.
  • Sat May 18, 2024 - afternoon / 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM EST
    Volunteers will assist with registration, direct traffic and assist vendors and presenters as needed
  • Sat May 18, 2024 - morning / 06:30 AM to 10:30 AM EST
    Volunteers will assist with setup and vendor registration for the event

Description

Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas, founded in 1896 in Baltimore, is the locally chartered affiliate of Volunteers of America, one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive human services organizations. The organization accomplishes its spiritually based mission by serving over 10,000 people annually through our programs that spread geographically from Baltimore, Maryland to South Carolina. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, VOACC operates 48 programs that are locally created, managed and delivered to address our community's most pressing social needs. Our professional staff of more than 900 employees partners with hundreds of volunteers, local governments, business and civic organizations, and the faith community, to affect positive changes in people's lives.
