Access Equestrian is seeking kind and caring volunteers to assist in our programs who have experience working with horses. Help is needed in our adaptive riding lessons for school aged children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our lesson program operates Tuesday through Sunday, throughout the day.
We are currently looking for volunteer lesson leaders for Friday afternoons, two-hours once per week minimum. Start date is for immediate placement and shift times to be Friday afternoon from 3:00PM - 5:30PM.
Lesson leader duties vary according to each particular schedule, but include everything from barn care and horse handling, leading or side walking in lessons, as well as assisting adults and children with special needs. The efforts of our incredible volunteers make our programs possible. All volunteers will receive orientation training before joining our program. Additional training may be required upon placement and experience.
Please note: This volunteer opportunity is for immediate placement on Friday afternoons.
