Have you experienced social anxiety? Do you want to help reduce stigma?

The University of South Florida is conducting a research study to better understand how social anxiety affects people’s everyday lives by collecting stories about their personal experiences with social anxiety (Study #4838). You must be 18 years or older and proficient in English to participate. This study consists of an open-ended question where you are asked to share your story about living with social anxiety and demographic questions. The estimated time of completion is 30 minutes, although this may vary based on your response.

Who can participate?
Adults who are aged 18 years or older and proficient in English.

We plan to gather stories of people with social anxiety difficulties with the intention of sharing these stories (de-identified) with the general public. Sharing your story may help reduce self-stigma and general stigma around social anxiety and offer support to those with similar experiences.

For more information about the study and to see if you are eligible, please visit our website at https://sites.google.com/mail.usf.edu/moodandemotionlab/projects/participants-wanted or contact the Primary Investigator, Dr. Jon Rottenberg, at rottenberg@usf.edu.

This study is approved by the USF Institutional Review Board (Study #4838).
