Camp TLC is sponsored by Spina Bifida Association of North Texas and supported by all 3 local children’s hospitals in DFW. We offer a week long sleep away camp experience with medical support for our children with Spina Bifida. 2022 is our first year back in person since 2019 and will be our 30 th Camp TLC.

We partner with Camp John Marc in Meridian Texas and this year we are planning to take 60 campers ages 12-17 along with Medical staff of 20 and 40 Camp Counselors.

We accept volunteers who are 18+ years old and have graduated high school by June 10 th.
All volunteers must be fully Covid Vaccinated by May 15th.
Male and Female positions are available for Nurses and Cabin Counselors.

It’s a great opportunity for those seeking a future in the medical field, social work, teaching, or simply working with children/adolescents in any field.

Camp Counselor are part of a 3 person team whose responsibilities are to sleep in a cabin with 5 campers, providing assistance with grooming and dressing if needed. The team will work to help campers get and participate in their activities. Some campers need more help and other are completely independent. Each cabin has their own nurse to handle any medical needs. Counselors supervise campers and provide help as needed.

Required pre training online is required. Background checks, 3 references and Virtual Interviews are necessary to be chosen for the position. Cost is $25 to apply - waivers are available.
