Cadence Hospice, a Traditions Health company, is seeking a licensed beautician, cosmetologist, or barber who would like to give their time and skills to a hospice patient. A haircut, hair styling or simple nail care can do so much to lift the spirit of our patients. We provide hospice serves to adults diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and have a prognosis of 6 months or less to live should the disease take its natural course. Hospice services are provided wherever the patient calls home, whether in their own home or care facility. We provide hospice services all across Orange County and parts of LA County, San Bernardino County and the Inland Empire. Our main office is located in the city of Orange.
For someone who is not on hospice, it is often easy and convenient to go out and get a haircut, get their nails done, etc. For a hospice patient, who may be bedbound or unable to drive, these simple things are harder to get done. Your talents and generous volunteer time would do so much to lift their spirits and provide comfort and dignity.
What this opportunity might look like for you: a couple days a month, you get to choose who you accept based on distance and time, and you'll schedule your own visits.
