Giant Steps of St Louis is a small therapeutic day school that provides educational programming for children aged 3 to 21 years old who are on the Autism Spectrum. Since 1994 Giant Steps has provided specialized instruction using evidence-based strategies to students with autism who would otherwise struggle in a general education setting. Our program consists of one-to-one or small group instruction in academics, sensory, social skills, vocation, physical education and health, art, music therapy, and daily living. Giant Steps is a 501c3 with most tuition costs covered by each student's individual school district making funding for additional needs dependent on grants and donations. Gaining board of directors members who are knowledgeable in fundraising strategies would be beneficial.
