Volunteers are needed to help at one of three learning stations that allow students to learn more about the St. Anthony Falls, Mill Ruins Park, and Stone Arch Bridge historical area of Minneapolis. Students on this field trip are visiting the Upper Saint Anthony Falls lock and dam to view the falls and to learn about the history of waterpower and industry in the former milling district. Volunteers will support one of three stations; the three stations are: binocular walk, flour milling or water power. All duties are outdoors with only minimal protection from the elements. Field trips are conducted from the top of the lock wall. This is similar to being on a flat roof of a 2 story building (with substantial railing).
There are 6 volunteer positions each day, Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sign-up for one day or sign-up for all the days - your choice!
