The Youth Center is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and creative individuals for a volunteer position in one of our programs, Camp S.H.A.R.K. As a Volunteer Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Staff with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Volunteer Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Volunteer is to participate, build relationships, and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.

The Los Alamitos Youth Center (The Youth Center) was founded in 1952. The Youth Center serves approximately 1,050 children annually through a variety of programs like camps, after school programs, music education, and more. To date, we have provided over one million hours of service to youth in our community and beyond.
