Community Hospice serves hundreds of patients every day and depends on fundraisers & the community for donations to support our care programs and patients, regardless of their resources or severity of their illnesses.

Taste of Heaven
is our annual Reverse Raffle fundraiser which will be held on Facebook Live on August 27th, 2022.

Fundraising Volunteer Description:
This volunteer role will assist with fundraising efforts to increase awareness, sell raffle tickets and grow our community of donors & sponsorships for our annual Taste of Heaven fundraiser. The objective is to spread our message and encourage our supporters to buy raffle tickets, sponsor or make donations towards the event.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with staff & other volunteers on Taste of Heaven and fundraising efforts.
* Work with the fundraising team to prospect and solicit sponsorships and donations.
* Help increase communications with supporters and current donors.
* Sell raffle tickets for both reverse raffle and side raffles.
* Attend meetings once a month in the Stark County Community Hospice office.

* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Outgoing, enthusiastic and creative thinker.
* Ability to build strong relationships with new people, businesses, and organizations.
* Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
* Works well independently and proactively as part of an amazing volunteer team.

Community Hospice is a community based, non-profit organization that has provided end-of-life care and support for patients and their families in their time of need for over 35 years. Since opening our doors in 1986, Community Hospice staff and dedicated volunteers strive to fulfill the hospice mission on a daily basis by assisting with direct and indirect patient and family care.

  • evening / 05:00 PM to 06:30 PM
    Meetings are held the last Monday of the month. Snacks & refreshments provided.
