We need Mosque Volunteers across London and Manchester who will support the Fund Development Team in raise awareness and funds during this spiritual time of the year. Volunteers are an integral part of Human Appeal’s success. They are the ones that create real change for those most in need. This is your chance to meet new people, gain new skills and experience and have fun whilst being part of a great cause.

We are specifically looking to recruit male volunteers to help with mosque collections as prayers within each mosque are segregated

Commitment: Various evenings throughout Ramadhan (April)

Location: Regional - London or Manchester

Expenses: This is an unpaid position but we do reimburse reasonable out-of-pocket expenses such as travel in line with Human Appeal’s expenses policy

Iftar: If the collection is over Iftar time, you will be provided with Iftar

Main tasks include:

• To attend events related to mosques throughout Ramadhan, if your volunteering is over Iftar time, you will be provided with Iftar
• To participate in meetings associated with the work above and to ensure that decisions from any meetings or discussions actioned
• To assist the Fund Development team in all other aspects of delivering campaigns and activities at mosques within your allocated region of work

Knowledge/Experience/Skills required:

• A passion for charity work and a good work ethic
• Ability to come to events at unsociable hours (travel expenses will be reimbursed)

• Training and shadowing providing all the information and skills needed to fulfil the role
• A dedicated member of staff to provide ongoing support and supervision
• Payment of "out of pocket" expenses in line with Human Appeal’s expenses policy
• A volunteer handbook that outlines all the policies and procedures you will need to be aware of whilst volunteering
