As a comfort care cart volunteer at Mercy Medical Center, you will visit with patients in their hospital rooms. As patients begin to settle in for bed, this comfort care cart is stocked with 'comfort items’ - such as eye masks, ear plugs, headsets, lip balm, blankets, word searches, etc. We offer patients a wash cloth to wash their face before settling in for bed as well as offering to clean their eye glasses.
Available shifts - any 3-4 hour shift once a week between 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (will work with your availability). A minimum commitment of at least 6 months or 100 hours.
