We are seeking volunteers interested in being trained to work with Northern Sonoma County Community Emergency Response Team and First Responders in our area.

The training involves approximately 12 hours of on-line classroom training approved by FEMA and CalOES. Then you must complete 2 Saturdays of additional "in-person" hands-on training on the skills required. Upon completion of training you are certified as a CERT California Disaster Assistance Worker and may, whenever CERT is activated, volunteer during emergencies and disasters for tasks and locations as you desire.

There is no requirement for you to volunteer after training. There are no upper age limits but we only accept CERTs of age 16 or older. There are no geographic limitations but our response is mostly limited to Sonoma County, California. If you have any mobility or physical challenges we can find a suitable task so that you may still volunteer.

You will have the opportunity to serve your community and to work with First Responders during critical incidents.

We are also seeking volunteers to work with us on communications with our volunteers and with the public (including copywriting and graphic design); to register CERT volunteers at training events; and to help us maintain solar electric equipment for emergencies.
