Write a Book Foundation is looking for a motivated and successful grant writer!

The grant writer will be required to apply for and manage grant aspects of business in order to gain additional funding for Women of Valor. The grant writer will be responsible for locating, researching, and applying for potential funding opportunities in order to ensure successful budget operation.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience and proven success in the grant writing field. This volunteer/employee will be required to provide high-quality grant proposals, contact sponsors, companies, and organizations that offer grants, and submit grants to these locations. The position will be part-time or full-time for the right individual. If you are motivated, hard-working, and have previous experience in this field, please do not hesitate to apply.

Typical duties and responsibilities:
* Research and identify grants that match the objectives of the organization
* Develop proposals for matching grants
* Oversee preparation of grant proposals, conduct a final review of proposals, and ensure timely submission
* Maintain an accurate record of past and present grant opportunities, deadlines, and proposals
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and donors
* Respond to funder questions
* Detail impact of a grant Education and experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communication, or a related field.

Required skills and qualifications:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to conduct thorough research
* Detail-oriented and robust organization and multitasking skills
* Knowledge of current trends in donating
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools Preferred qualifications:
* Experience writing government grants
* Experience working on a research team and securing grants in the past
* Excellent grammar and strong attention to detail

What is the time commitment? Grant Writer Volunteer is expected to spend 5-10 hours a week on the Write a Book Foundation business.

Write-A-Book Foundation believes that expressive writing skill is a viable tool for people struggling with anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health concerns. To that end, we will remove barriers to book writing to enable personal and spiritual development and living a purposeful life.

We are advocates of using writing as a therapeutic, personal development, and self-empathy tool. We offer writing support and coaching through our free workshops. Our workshops have served people worldwide.
