Queer Art Fest Inc. is an all-volunteer run non-profit organization whose mission is to create accessible points of entry into the art world for LGBTQ+ artists & creators. At a time of social media shadowbans, mounting barriers to the mainstream art market, and so few physical spaces to commune and exhibit work, Queer Art Fest Inc. recognizes that artists are intrinsic to Queer futurity and must be centered in their fullest expressions.
The Position:
Queer Art Fest is seeking a volunteer with ability, experience and knowledge to manage and grow our social media accounts across a variety of platforms such as Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing social media strategy
- Analyzing engagement data,
- Writing copy
- Have a finger on the pulse of Queer Art happenings & opportunities across New York and beyond.
This is a remote opportunity and can be performed anywhere.
Queer Art Fest Inc. was founded in 2021 to address inaccessibility and cultural bias that many Queer artists and creatives experience that make it difficult to participate in mainstream art exhibits and fairs.Through our lineup of events & programming, Queer Art Fest Inc. provides Queer artists with visibility & economic opportunities.

Description
We believe it is now more important than ever to create new opportunities and platforms for independent LGBTQ+ artist and creators. We are achieving this by developing accessible programming for Queer artists across a variety of formats. Many LGBTQ+ artists & creators experience cultural bias that can make it difficult to participate in mainstream art fairs. Our events create accessible points of entry into the art world.
Our long term cultural vision is to establish a permanent space, which will be a hub for marginalized Queer creatives and a place for artists to find their intended audience.
