Passionate about empowering women? Looking to give back to a non-profit organization in your community? Dress for Success Greater Philadelphia is looking for a motivated and dynamic part-time Operations & Volunteer Coordinator to join our team on a volunteer or internship basis. This essential role will serve as a coordinator for day-to-day operations and will manage the growing volunteer program. This is a partially remote opportunity with flexible hours and some in-person hours at our Center City boutique location. Potential for a longer-term, paid position as organizational needs and funds are developed.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in developing and maintaining a comprehensive list of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups
- Manage active volunteer database & SignUp page for volunteer scheduling
- Research, develop and implement new strategies to increase volunteer base
- Serve as primary point of contact for all requests to volunteer and ensure timely response
- Schedule client appointments, clothing pickups/drop-offs
- Schedule and conduct regular Personal Shopper trainings
- Staff Center City boutique 3-6 hours a week on 2+ separate days (Mon-Thurs)
- Staff monthly clothing sorting volunteer event at boutique (12:00-3:00, 1 Sun. per month)
- Alert management of inventory and supply needs in boutique
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of college or equivalent experience required - nonprofit experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
10-15 hours a week with flexible scheduling (some Sunday afternoons needed)
