Intern Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research and gather documentation on why people visit our museum. (see additional research questions below)
• Developing plans and strategies, targeting potential museum visitors
• Assist in designing surveys and methodologies for collection of opinions and feedback
• Analyze survey results data
• Provide results of survey and conclusion
• Report and present findings

Research questions: Do research to help the Chinese American Museum of Chicago to understand and assess why do people come to the museum as well as why people do not want to visit the museum.

Here are some questions, but not limited to, that will help understand why: 1) why people come to visit museums, 2) for Chinese American history and culture, 3) to see objects with a historical past, 4) learn about the Chinese Americans in the United States Midwest, 5) why tourists like to visit.

Additional questions are: 1) what is keeping people from visiting the museum, 2) nothing interesting or relevant, 3) too inconvenient and hard to get to, 4) no interest in the past.
