Calling all San Bernardino Photographers!
Come take photos of a "shoe party"! Shoes That Fit is giving shoes to children in need in San Bernardino. Children will receive brand new athletic shoes, and we would like to capture the moments of joy and excitement.
It's such a rewarding experience taking pictures of the kids as they open their shoeboxes and try on their new shoes. They jump, they laugh, they show off their new kicks to their friends. It's heartwarming.
The pictures are so helpful to us as we thank our partners for their gifts. And the pictures are very helpful for our marketing (which works on a limited budget). The pictures show the impact on the kids, and help us to convey the need to more people and show how they can help.

Mission Statement
Shoes That Fit tackles one of the most visible signs of poverty in America by giving children in need new athletic shoes to attend school with dignity and joy, prepared to learn, play and thrive.
Description
Based in Claremont, CA, Shoes That Fit is a national charity. Last year, our volunteer sponsor groups provided new shoes and other items to more 100,000 children in need in 45 state and the District of Columbia. We have 7 staff in our one office in Claremont, CA.
"Thousands of children can’t attend school in comfort or dignity because their feet hurt or they do not have appropriate shoes," says Amy Fass, Executive Director of Shoes That Fit. "Research shows that inadequate shoes are linked to school absenteeism, reduced physical activity, and low-self esteem."
Shoes That Fit takes a simple, grassroots approach to the problem of ill-fitting shoes by matching sponsoring groups with schools in their own communities that have children in need. A sponsor can be any group of people: any type of business, school, church, civic organization or simply a group of caring friends. Then, the sponsoring group decides how many children they can help. Their chosen school identifies the children most in need of new shoes and then measures these students for proper size and fit with materials provided by Shoes That Fit.
The sponsor group uses this information to buy exactly what each child needs and delivers the items to the school.
Since our founding in 1992, Shoes That Fit has provided more than 1.5 million pairs of shoes and other items to children in need thanks to our massive network of nearly 300 volunteer sponsor groups across the U.S.
