You'd be providing help on the day of the walk. Duties include but are not limited to: set up, tear down, help with registration, and miscellaneous tasks throughout the day. The event itself will take place from 7 am-1 pm at Sloan's Lake. We encourage all families with teens or individuals 18+ to sign up. You must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. You'll also be outside in the sun and will likely be standing for long periods of time.

Description
Family Promise of Greater Denver provides shelter, meals, rental assistance, and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness in the Denver area. We also work with families on employment, long-term housing solutions and other goals to ensure self-sufficiency and a brighter future.
Family Promise of Greater Denver began serving homeless families in 1997 and is part of a national network of 180+ affiliates. Since our founding, we’ve helped more than 1,000 families, including 1,900 children. Today, an average of 70% of families leave with housing and 85% of adults secure employment while they’re in the program!

- Must be at least 13
- The event will be six hours long in total; however, we only ask that you commit to a three hour time frame whether it be 7-10 am or 10 am-1 pm.
- All adults must undergo a background check; you can donate $5 to cover the costs but are not expected to. All unvaccinated folks are required to wear a mask. We strongly recommend use of masks for vaccinated volunteers but it is not mandatory.
