Do you have a couple hours a week/month available to volunteer your time? Your time and efforts could benefit a hospice patient. Cadence Hospice, a Traditions Health company provides hospice services to patients across Orange County, as far north into La County as Whittier and La Habra, down to San Clemente. We also provide hospice services to parts of San Bernardino County and parts of the Inland Empire. Patients may reside in their own home or care facility.
Hospice patients have a life limiting illness and would greatly benefit from even 1 hour a week or month with a visit from a volunteer. We are actively recruiting in the OC, LA, Inland Empire and San Bernardino counties.
We are looking for anyone who would to volunteer their time and efforts by playing an instrument, participating in art interventions, providing socialization and companionship, listening to music, the ministry of presence and so much more. Hospice volunteering is flexible around your schedule and positively impacts patients, patient families and the community. You will choose who you visit and the frequency (minimum 1 x month). Hospice care is about living! When a patient is diagnosed with a life limiting illness, the patient and family may become overwhelmed with planning, emotions, questions, and fear. The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.
Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
