Join the Summer Fun!
Help us make our wonderful students who are unhoused feel safe and welcome. Through games, reading, and play, ALIVE teaches elementary-age children how to activate their Power Within to be a good friend for themselves, for others, and for their community.
ALIVE Teacher - With a small group of children, lead a simple social-emotional activity (Heart Map, goal setting...) and play time. Or lead a 20 minute SIPPS reading lesson. Simple training is provided.
OR
ALIVE Supplies - Create and/or assemble art and game kits for the kids so they have materials when we are online.
Thank you for making a difference with us!

About ALIVE
Location:
2490 GROVE WAY, CASTRO VALLEY, CA 94546, US
Mission Statement
ALIVE interrupts predicted outcomes for children facing instability such as foster care, homelessness, domestic violence, parental incarceration, and undocumented status. Through targeted, proactive education, children learn to leverage their Power Within for themselves and for their community.
Description
ALIVE works with the community to deliver our uniquely powerful social-emotional and academic educational program designed specifically for Kinder-6th grade students experiencing instability. We know that children are not defined by their circumstances and with targeted support they can develop the skills and motivation that build lifelong learners. Through strategically designed content and instruction, ALIVE proactively interrupts predicted outcomes for children who have been uprooted. Our elementary students learn early on how to embrace who they are; living out their Power from Within for themselves, their community, and their future.
