Do you speak another language besides English? We would love to have you join our volunteer family! Cadence Hospice, a Traditions Health company provides hospice services to patients all across Orange County, as far north into LA County as Whittier and La Habra, San Bernardino County (i.e. Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, Chino Hills), and down to San Clemente, wherever the patient calls home. Our main office is conveniently located in the city of Orange.

Patient may reside in their own home or care facility. As a volunteer, you can choose who you would like to visit for socialization and companionship. You'll be able to accept or decline patient assignments based on your schedule, distance, and time.

Patients may speak languages other than English and would benefit from a friendly visitor who speaks the same language as they do. We would love for you too visit with English speaking patients, too! With hospice patients, we never know how long we have to touch their lives. Having an establish team of volunteers with varied availability, time and skills helps us to positively impact the lives of patients and their families.

Description

Hospice care is about living! When a patient is diagnosed with a life limiting illness, the patient and family may become overwhelmed with planning, emotions, questions, and fear. The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.

Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
