Have you ever thought about helping another person in need or have a special skill set to assist others? We could utilize your talents here, volunteering at Bridge Hospice in the High Desert. Volunteers make such a difference in the lives of those who are transitioning into their last phase of life.
Bridge Home Health & Hospice is looking for volunteers dedicated and compassionate about making a difference by providing companionship to our terminally ill patients.
Bridge volunteers conduct friendly visits with patients and help them in their daily lives by conducting social visits, reading aloud, playing musical instruments, playing cards/games, caregiver relief, veteran to veteran companionship, etc. Volunteers can also provide compassionate remote services such as phone calls, letter writing, sending cards, etc. Volunteer visits and phone calls make a huge impact and truly enrich the lives of our patients and their loved ones.
Bridge provides all training needed to be an effective volunteer by outlining our basic policies and procedures during our onboarding process. You can be sure that once you go on your first visit, you will be prepared.
Our goal is to make our patients and their family members feel cared for and cherished during this transition in their lives.
Requirements Include: A clean background check, TB test (conducted here at the office), drug screen (for those wishing to visit patients), Current drivers license, current auto insurance and must be minimum of 18 years of age with a great attitude and desire to make a difference!
