If you are interested in being the liason between us and potential donors or partners please get in touch.
To qualify for this opportunity, however, you should be interested in attending pickup baseball on Sundays. This is a fully remote opportunity, but I'm not interested in working with someone that doesn't want to come out to the pickup games.
This nonprofit has no staff and the yearly budget is still under $500.

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Pickup Baseball Foundation is to build a community that provides inclusive access to the game of baseball to as many people as possible. We specifically aim to provide a free drop-in service to participants, to implement a welcoming, healthy, and safe baseball environment, and to provide wraparound trauma-informed support through mentorship, a social group atmosphere for spectators and players, opportunity for employment, and food.
Description
David made a craigslist post, joined a group of new friends at a field in Oakland, and they met there every Sunday at noon starting in June 2021. Used baseballs, a few bats and gloves, and an ability to show up every week swelled the North Oakland Pickup Baseball group to weekly turnouts of more than 10 teenagers, women, seniors, fathers and sons, uncles and nephews, and baseball players from places as far as Vallejo, Santa Rosa, Sausalito, and San Jose.
