The Minority Women Pharmacists Association is a nonprofit organization where women pharmacists of color can promote our presence in healthcare, identify areas of inequity to improve healthcare outcomes, and close gaps in care through service to our communities.

We’re looking to add a Program Assistant to our team.

We’re looking for someone who is:
1. Able to make calls and send emails and meet with sponsors, donors
2. A fast independent learner
3. Good with technology
4. Available to volunteer at least 5 hours a week
5. Professional (you promptly return calls, emails, have a quiet/dedicated home or other office space, etc.) and is able to keep your word when it comes to meeting deadlines
6. Able to pass a background and drug test
7. Someone with a pleasant speaking voice and does not mind speaking with clients

The Minority Women Pharmacists Association, Inc. is the first 501c3 nonprofit organization for women pharmacists of color. We are committed to using our resources to support each other and provide equitable care to under-served areas.

Here are the goals most important to us:
Promoting the value of pharmacists through our efforts in achieving pharmacist provider status
Engaging in events and initiatives that foster diversity at work and in the community
Educating our communities on the various roles of a pharmacist, and how as healthcare providers we contribute to improved health outcomes
Utilizing philanthropy to give back to the communities we serve
