Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is 128-year-old settlement house widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves 16,000 people in need each year through a wide array of effective and integrated services--social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness,

We are seeking volunteers with strong technology skills to provide assistance and support to older adults using our Computer Lab. Volunteers will be stationed in the lab and will help individual participants with tasks such as email, using the internet, cell phone functions, word processing and organizing and managing digital files.

The time commitment for this position is one day per week, Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 3:00pm-4:30pm.

Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
