Mission

Promote and grow functional fitness around the globe by developing a governance structure which provides rules, safety standards, Technical Official training, and competitive opportunities for athletes. We ultimately aim to create a pathway for competitive functional fitness to be included in the Olympic Games.

Position

The Marketing and Sponsorship Manager is an unpaid volunteer part time position. A time commitment of roughly 5-10 hours per week during peak periods is expected.

Responsibilities:
  1. Leading fundraising and marketing efforts for the organization
  2. Oversee solicitation of sponsorships and community partnerships
    1. Lead creation of sponsorship packets, support materials, fulfillment of benefits, including advertising and collateral
    2. Proactively identify new potential sponsors, work with existing sponsors and engage in meetings to discuss sponsorship
  3. Plan and execute details for organization-wide fundraising and community outreach events
  4. Create an overall marketing plan and strategy for the year

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to influence and engage a wide range of supporters and audiences to build long-term relationships
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Highly organized with a professional demeanor
  • High energy and passion for Functional Fitness/CrossFit(r)
  • High level of critical thinking skills and creativity
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with various types of people (participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, board members, )
  • Ability to remain calm and flexible
  • Compassionate, dependable, team player
  • Self-motivated to initiate projects for the improvement of iF3
  • Willingness to do whatever is needed

Description

The International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as the international governing body for competitive functional fitness. Founded in 2016, the organization as grown rapidly with National Federations now in 30 countries and an annual World Championship event that features participation from almost every continent. The iF3 runs training courses for Technical officials, operates annual events for athletes, and provides governance for the sport through the creation of rules and standards, and the enforcement of such. The iF3 prioritizes the development of a sport that is fair, has integrity, and protects the rights of the athletes. The iF3 is working to introduce programs for youth athletes to their system with an aim to offer youth events toward the end of 2019.
