Pedi pal volunteers visit kiddos and their families in private homes, during hospital stays, or clinic visits, to read, play games or music, create art projects, and to provide a friendly and calming presence for patients and their families. Volunteers can also help with tutoring and with friendly visits and tutoring for the siblings of our pedi pal patients. Training starts at the end of April!

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • Companionship volunteers visit kiddos and their families in private homes, during hospital stays, or clinic visits, to read, play games or music, create art projects, and to provide a friendly and calming presence for patients and their families.
  • Volunteers may also shop, and run errands for families.
  • Certified massage, Reiki and Pet Therapy volunteers provide friendly visits to kiddos for their areas of specialization in patients’ private homes.

Pedi Pal volunteer work is tremendously rewarding and greatly appreciated by patients and families!

Comprehensive training is provided. We require a one year commitment of
approximately 2 hours (or more) of volunteering/ week. Weekdays or weekend visits are possible.
