Camp Quality Heartland is looking for members to our Medical Team during summer camp! The medical team is what makes our camp possible; give children the gift of summer camp by donating your time with us. Camp is July 11-16 in Fremont, NE.
Current covid protocol dictates volunteers need to stay the full week of camp (no re-entry) and must be fully vaccinated. However, medical updates are being made frequently so please contact if you're interested even if you are not able to commit to the full week of camp at this time.
Medical staff help with check in, covid monitoring, and other youth needs during the week of camp. Experience in pediatrics and oncology preferred for team lead but help from other medical professionals is also needed and greatly appreciated (ex: EMT, RN, LPN)

Mission Statement
Camp Quality serves children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs, experiences, and companionship, at no cost. Camp Quality promotes hope and inspiration while helping children foster life skills and develop their full potential.
Description
Did you know more than 260 children in Iowa and Nebraska are diagnosed with cancer each year? Camp Quality Heartland is not in the business of finding a cure for cancer, but we are in the business of ensuring that every child who has been diagnosed with cancer can not only have a summer camp experience, but year-round programs to enhance their quality of life and encourage quality family time.
When a cancer diagnosis comes to a child, in a lot of ways, childhood stops. Vacations, family time, crafts, and campfires are replaced with doctor visits, chemo, isolation and restrictions. With children’s safety and medical needs forefront, Camp Quality Heartland breaks down those barriers for children and families and restores the childhood experience. Surrounded by new friends that can relate, loving volunteers who care, and loads of fun experiences, Camp Quality campers find joy, courage and renewed hope for the future. They are free to be themselves . . . free to be kids again.
