Loudoun County Fire Rescue provides emergency response to the citizens of Loudoun County and surrounding jurisdictions. We are a combination system utilizing Volunteers and Career persons to cover Fire & EMS calls. We also utilize volunteers in our active and busy 15 volunteer fire-EMS corporations to maintain the necessary administrative functions of the agency. Volunteers must clear a background check and physical. Volunteers are provided training and hands on experience for free.

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the combined fire and EMS system of Loudoun County to provide residents and visitors with efficient and cost-effective fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services. The system also responds to and mitigates hazardous materials and related life safety and property threatening incidents, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and a staff of highly trained volunteer and career personnel located in strategically placed facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
