Share Your Smile. Share Your Compassion. Share Your Time. Vigil Volunteers are needed to sit and be present with patients who are bedbound, sleep often, have little response, and who may be in the final days of their lives. Vigil volunteers bring comfort to families who may not be able to be there with their loved ones or to give their families a little respite time.
We invite you to become a member of a dedicated group of compassionate caregivers who serve as vital members of our hospice team. Caretenders Hospice, a proud member of the LHC Group family, has been serving Chicagoland for 6 years and we have the honor of being a Level 4 We Honor Veterans partner. Hospice volunteers often say that helping those in need at a critical point in their lives is profoundly and emotionally meaningful. To learn how you can become a hospice volunteer in your community, call us today at 847-635-6100 or visit us at https://lhcgroup.com

Caretenders Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last stages of an incurable disease, with emphasis on control of pain and symptom management. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible and in familiar surroundings. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and the family.
